Richard Funston moved to Los Angeles from his small mid-western hometown of Hermann Missouri after completing a tour of duty in the United States Air Force .He studied graphic design and theatre in Mo. at East Central community college. He attended UCLA extensions in film while he worked for the Veterans Administration.He as well completed several internships with Regent Entertainment and David LaChapelle and studied method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in West Hollywood. In 2012 he received his BFA in animation and film at Art Center College of design also completed a year long internship position with Ridley Scott and Associates and Scott Free productions working on music videos for Beyonce, Rihanna and feature film projects including Tony Scott’s, “Unstoppable” and Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”. Richard also attended USC’s graduate Cinema Production program where he received the Sloan Foundation screenwriting grant. Richard is currently working toward his own writing, directing and artistic goals in the entertainment world, creating his independent production company Little Piece of Moon productions.
